FREE JOB COUNSELING AT THE CALVERT LIBRARY
Job hunting can be hard, especially in the current economic climate, but Calvert Library is here to help.

Calvert Library Prince Frederick will be hosting free visits from a job counselor.  Register online for a 30-minute appointment in the group study room. 1:00-3:00pm. (30- minute increments). Free of charge, to help you with any number of job-related questions, including resume writing, job searching, interviewing tips, and more.

In addition to thejob counselor's services, Calvert Library has many other resources at your disposal!  Drop into your local branch and grab a book that will help you with interview skills and resumes, check out our local job listings, and sign up for our free computer training. 

If you are interested in searching for jobs and tips on your own, here are a number of websites that we have found helpful:

 www.somd.com  – This local resource has an employment section that lists companies, contractors, business organizations, and a classified section.

 www.co.cal.md.us – The Calvert County Government posts a list of open positions, information about applying for jobs with the Calvert County Government, and directions to apply on-line.

 www.ecalvert.com – The Calvert County Department of Economic Development hosts this website with a classified job listing section that you can search by company or location.

 www.Maryland.gov – The official Maryland Government website has current job listings as well as career path information. 

 www.USAJobs.gov – The official site for US Federal Government jobs allows you to search for jobs within a set number of miles from your zip code.

 www.mwejobs.com - Workforce Exchange is a “virtual” one-stop network created to improve access to information about jobs, training and workforce support throughout Maryland.
